Entry point 2 of 3
Zarkov"Lord Captain, we have compared our augur readings to the data from the Dargonus cogitator. This world is GH-89-717, mentioned in the diary of Seberian von Valancius."
Zarkov(sequence)
Zarkov"Hmm... In the archives, this world is flagged as... 'of no further value.' What manner of classification is that? So long as a planet retains an atmosphere and at least a scrap of resources, such a write-off is a crime against the dynasty!"
Zarkov"Why, this is the very place that the unfortunate soul in the shuttle was trying to save. I fear that we will find nothing but a graveyard down on the surface..."
Zarkov"We have detected strange signals on the surface, Your Lordship/Ladyship. Requesting permission to conduct a targeted augur scan."
YOU"Vigdis, direct the augurs to the region where the signals were detected."
Zarkov"Lord Captain, there are signs of human activity. The planet is inhabited — large concentrations of people detected. Human-made structures too, albeit crude ones."

YOU"Whoever they are... prepare the shuttle for landing."
ZarkovBy the time you reach the hangar, the shuttle has already been properly readied. A young pilot offers you a respectful bow and makes the sign of the Aquila in greeting. You proceed into the stifling passenger compartment that smells of sacred unguents and leather.
ZarkovThe flight down to the planet proceeds as normal. This changes when the pilot announces atmospheric entry, beckoning your gaze toward the viewports. The shuttle glides through colossal roots and vines, which swathe the planet in a vast, quivering mantle. Spellbound, you watch the movement within the growths, before the pilot reports losing vox-contact with the flagship. And then a heavy blow strikes the hull...
Zarkov"Attempting an emergency landing! Hold fast, Your Lordship/Ladyship! God-Emperor, have mercy upon us..."
YOU"Log the coordinates in the ship's journal, I mean to return here later."
Zarkov"It is done, Lord Captain."
Zarkov"I rescind my words, Your Lordship/Ladyship. This world has just risen in value and gained some interesting prospects."
