Entry point 1 of 2
Yrliet"Before we leave this place..." Yrliet's voice trembles. "Allow me to search the bodies of the fallen, elantach. I wish to collect their spirit stones — the vessels that protect us from Sai'lanthresh's maw after our physical death. Muaran's foresight led these warriors against us — foresight that can be corrupted by ill intentions they were unaware of. Their souls are locked within these stones — don't let them perish here."
YOU"No one forced your kin to go against me and die. Their stones are my trophies now. I earned them."
Yrliet"Your soul is full of wasted rage — and hunger for others' suffering. Perhaps Sai'lanthresh has already laid her touch upon you too."
YOU"It seems these stones are extremely valuable... I think I'll keep them."
Yrliet"How can a mon-keigh know the value of another's soul? Foul, savage species..."
YOU"You may take the stones — I have no use for them."
Yrliet"Thank you, elantach. I will take care of my kin."
Yrliet(sequence)
Pasqal"I have come across references to xeno-artefacts of this type in archives. If Your Lord/Ladyship allows, I will examine these... trophies." A velvety, curious voice pours from the vox-synth, not interrupted by a single hiss of static.
Entry point 2 of 2
YrlietYrliet surveys the field of battle. "May the gods guard us against pride and wandering in the vagaries of fate..."
YOU"Are you all right?"
Yrliet"All right? I am overcome with grief, and anger, and anguish. But if I give free rein to my emotions, I will be drawing the thirst of She who has already entangled the Lilaethan, and, it seems, befuddled the mind of the one who was called to lead my kin."
Yrliet"My kin have trusted in the visions of Farseers for millennia to show us our path amidst the stars. But throughout my life on Crudarach, I have too often seen knowledge of things to come — as changeable and capricious as deepwater currents — weave chains around the bodies of those who fear to enter murky waters. That is why I became an Outcast, renouncing the traditions of Crudarach and leaving its confines — to seek out my own Path."
Yrliet"Perhaps Crudarach's demise filled Muaran with so much sorrow that it poisoned his mind. Or perhaps it was hatred for the mon-keigh who desecrated the face of the Lilaethan that plunged his mind into darkness. Or perhaps... perhaps Sai'lanthresh herself was toying with the Farseer who had found himself amidst her poisoned gardens." Yrliet begins speaking more quietly, though harshness breaks through in her voice at times. "I will never learn the answer to this question... but perhaps if I uncover the secret of Crudarach's demise, I might be able to lift the veil even a little on this mystery."
YOU"There is nothing more to be done here. Time to return to the shuttle."
YrlietYrliet gives you a long, studying look. "Wait, elantach. Before you leave these forests forever... Take me with you. To the distant suns. The tale of the Children of Asuryan on the Lilaethan is coming to an end, but somewhere out there, among the cold stars of the cosmos that your kind calls the Expanse, there are others. Deprived of home. Lost. Suffering..." Yrliet shuts her eyes, and grief twists her finely sculpted features.
Yrliet"We can help one another, elantach. You will be my wings, and I your wounding spear. And your voice of reason, should you encounter my kin. If that is still not enough..." Yrliet thinks for a moment and continues carefully. "I promise you a wondrous reward, elantach. The treasures of my world hidden in the vastness of space in exchange for the rescue of my kin. If you remain true to your word and do not go back on our covenant."
YOU"Why should I even be concerned with the affairs of xenos?"
Yrliet"Just as the Children of Asuryan settled this world you consider yours, my kin have flooded this region of space. Desperately trying to survive, they will seek shelter in your demesne, perhaps even raiding mon-keigh vessels for supplies and sustenance. I do not wish such a fate for any of my kind, just as I hope you do not wish it for your subjects."

YOU"I have always wanted to add a xenos to my retinue! Welcome, welcome."
YrlietYrliet looks at you, tilting her head slightly. "Do not forget that the Lilaethan still needs help. Vistenza Vyatt must be slain so that the Maiden World can live."
Yrliet"And remember your promise, elantach. When we leave the Lilaethan, it will be to go to the distant stars. Muaran saw them in his visions, and they sang mournful songs about the fate of my people. And I will fight beside you until the song of the stars turns into a funeral lament."
YOU"It is an honour to welcome an Aeldari wanderer into my ranks."
YrlietThe Aeldari shifts slightly and lowers her head. A ghost of a smile appears on her lips. "My heart sings at the thought of the Lilaethan's approaching liberation... but we must not rest while Sai'lanthresh's servants still mar the face of the Maiden World."

YOU"You do not lack for boldness. Even your request is worded not as a plea but a treaty. But I like it, so we have a deal."

YOU"Get out of my sight. I have no need for the company of a traitor."
YrlietYrliet flinches as though your words have wrenched her back to reality. "Very well. Then, farewell, elantach. May the stars guide each of us on our Path."
YOU[Kill Yrliet] "Might as well send you off along with the rest."
YrlietYrliet drops to the ground like a severed vine.

YOU"You dispatched the enemies of Humanity admirably. You'll make an excellent sanctioned xenos."
YrlietYrliet rewards you with a contemptuous look. "Muaran was right about one thing: your primitive consciousness prevents you from seeing anything that does not lie on the surface. My actions were not done out of a desire to gratify you."
Yrliet(sequence)
Kibellah"Should you grow tired of this xenos, Domin, I could take her thin bones to the temple of the Bloodspun Web. They will serve as dust beneath the feet of the righteous."

YOU"You just slaughtered your kin over a minor disagreement. You're in no place to talk about pride."
Yrliet"Your consciousness is incapable of grasping the full depth of the abyss into which Muaran lured my kin, and that is why my actions seem monstrous to you. Far from it — at least now their souls will not end up in Sai'lanthresh's maw."
