UralonFor but a moment, you see lines of unease and doubt cross his brow. There is something he is not telling you.
YOU"You are hiding something from me, sorcerer. Answer me: what else did you see?"
UralonUralon's long, heavy look presses down on you. "There is one more path. No, it is not a path — an ancient abyss beyond the edges of fate, a place where no Ways lead. You wear another wreath there. With this wreath, you have everything. With this wreath, you have nothing. Upon accepting it, not only will you renounce your destiny, but life itself will become your enemy. That is my final prophecy to you."
YOU"You are hiding something from me, sorcerer. Answer me: what else did you see?"continues where this line first appears above
YOU"My path is clear. I shall wear the wreath of the Dawn upon my brow and take what is mine by right."
Uralon"And I will stand at your side when you do, champion. May the faith in the hearts of the devout never waver."
YOU"What is that book in your hands?"
Uralon"It is a collection of sermons from the Book of Lorgar. The Truth spoken by our Primarch and carved into human skin, which was then removed and turned into pages. The wisdom and verity of the Primarch's words fill my being with awe whenever I open this scripture. In it, Lord Lorgar casts down the false faith in the Emperor and grants us the tenets of the true faith in the great gods of the Immaterium."
YOU[Recite the dark prayer you heard on Kiava Gamma] "Are those the words of your lord?"
UralonUralon's torn lips stretch into a satisfied smile. "You impress me, champion. Yes, that is one of his many sermons. I will gladly share more of Lord Lorgar's wisdom with you, should you so desire. Later, once your ascension is complete."

YOU"And what is the Truth, Uralon?"
Uralon"That the Imperium is a rotting corpse, as is its worthless master. Worms writhe inside its guts, praying to the putrescent husk, believing that it will protect them from the storm. They swallow the damp flesh, smack their lips, and vomit it into each other's throats, gorging, choking. And all the while, the crumbling corpse only continues to rot away. Storms and carrion eaters pick the reeking flesh off its brittle bones, piece by piece, as the frightened worms struggle to mend the gaping wounds with their own flesh."
Uralon"The Truth is that the corpse is bound to turn into nothing but pus and bonemeal. And the worms, if they wish to survive, must behold the storm of Chaos that rages outside and offer themselves to it. And we, in our endless grace, will accept them into our fold. For the Truth is in the service to the storm."

YOU"You call yourself a Dark Apostle. What does it mean?"
Uralon"It means that I am the guide of the true faithful. I am their teacher, prophet, and master, who leads the Legion's disciples in their service to the Truth. I share this burden with my brothers on the Dark Council. None but Lord Lorgar and the Great Four can command us."
Uralon"My sermons have converted entire worlds to the true faith. My hands have brought populations to ruin. Stand proud, [Name], for only those I deem my equal have been allowed to fight at my side."

YOU"Why are you known as Uralon the Cruel?"
Uralon"Once, we were fighting for a planet that was on the verge of embracing the true faith. All that stood in our way was a single bastion whose troops had hidden behind impenetrable walls, refusing to kneel before us. Their commander was a valiant and talented general, an unshakeable protector without a doubt in his heart. My brothers were ready to reduce the city to dust with an orbital bombardment — what did a single stronghold matter when we had already brought the whole planet to heel? But I decided otherwise."
Uralon"One morning, I walked to the bastion's gates with a hundred children whom we had captured on our triumphant march, and offered the general a trade — his life in exchange for theirs. The general, whose will was stronger than adamantine, refused. I then put the children to death before the defenders' eyes and left. The next day, I came again with another hundred and made my offer once more. Again the general refused, and another hundred screaming, crying children died by my hand. On the third day, when I approached the gates with a hundred more, the general, beaten and wounded, landed at my feet, cast down from the walls by the bastion's defenders."
Uralon"The general's will was strong, but it was not his will that I had been trying to break — among the children I had brought to the slaughter were the sons and daughters of his closest officers. I was true to my word: I took the general, let the defenders take the children inside the walls, and left. But the Truth had already touched the souls of the youth. The same night, they cut their parents' throats, gutted the sentries, and opened the gates for me and my brothers. The bastion had fallen. The name of that world has long since faded from my memory, but the epithet Cruel I bear to this day."

Uralon"We have many toils ahead of us, [Name]. You are destined to make the Koronus Expanse witness the blaze of the Final Dawn. I will help you in this through word and deed, until the call of the Primordial Truth shows me a different path. For now, leave thoughts of the future to me — you must focus on your deeds in the present."

YOU"You betrayed Kunrad. How do I know that you will not betray me next?"
UralonHe lets out a hoarse laugh. "Kunrad was weak, pathetic, and vain, and he was nothing compared to you. You spoke the name of the dawns, you spilt the blood of misbelievers, you released the master from his ancient prison. Kunrad could not accomplish even a shred of what you proved capable of. Why would I betray someone as strong as you, champion?"
YOU"I have disgraced you more than once, I have killed your brothers and ruined many of your plans. Are you telling me that you harbour no malice toward me at all?"
Uralon"Over thousands of years, I have learned how inconstant fate can be and how often its turns that I perceive as defeats reveal themselves as my resounding victories. I have learned to put my fate in the will of the Changer of Ways and follow the call of the Truth. There is no malice, [Name]. Your ascension is one of my greatest triumphs."

UralonUralon closes his eyes, and the symbols carved into his face flare like embers. "I cannot perceive what the watchdog of the Expanse is planning. All I know is that he holds a key, and that key must be yours. Only one path will see you alight with the crimson wreath of the Final Dawn. The rest hold only oblivion and death."
YOU"I must take my leave."
Uralon"May the blessing of the True Gods be with you."

YOU"The Emperor is strong, but that did not stop you from betraying him."
Uralon"His strength is feigned and built on lies amplified by the servility of his lackeys. Our actions were not a betrayal, [Name]. We were overthrowing a tyrant."
Uralon"I do not blame you for taking great caution, [Name]. The paths devised by the Weaver of Destinies are twisted and obscured — it is easy to stumble and lose sight of the Truth. Do not misstep, champion, and we will remain allies."

YOU"First you betrayed the Emperor, then Kunrad... Old habits die hard."
Uralon"Do you know what they had in common? Both could only see as far as themselves. Although, even I am loath to compare the corpse emperor to carrion like Kunrad — at least the Imperium's former master had a backbone and a vision, albeit one that was inexcusably deceitful and short-sighted."

UralonThe sorcerer's fingers, clad in heavy gauntlets, are leafing through the pages of a grand tome bound in rough, dark leather. Upon hearing your footsteps, Uralon the Cruel looks away from the tome and bares his sharp, uneven teeth. "I greet you, champion. Is it time to spill the blood of misbelievers? Or has the path of the Truth brought you to me for another purpose?"
